Styles to suit both dog and owner

Each dog is an individual, its lifestyle, health, and owner all play a large part in how a dog can be groomed. If your dog is going in the heather daily then there is little point leaving a long coat on it unless you are prepared to put hours of work in at home picking all the wee bits out! On the other hand if you and your dog love having a daily groom then why have it clipped so there is no hair left?

I do not believe in stressing a dog out for any reason, so if your dog is badly matted then it may be easier for the dog to have a fresh start. I am happy to advise you on how to care for your dogs coat and what tools you will need to do the job properly. Some breeds may need regular trimming others may need it once or twice a year. Another thing to be considered is if your dog enjoys being brushed or not.

So as you can see every dog is different and that also can be said of the owners as well, as some have no time to brush their pet daily, others may have  all the time in the world. So a trim which suits one dog may well not be the best one for another.
